Later will come tightly written legal documents that intimidate and bore at the same time. Are we the only ones tired of that? For now, here's what we intend, our lawyers are working on the rest.

Site Use

This is our web site. It is publicly available, but not public domain. Everything on it is copyrighted, either by us or by somebody else.

Logos and image files belong to the people who created them. Don't take them and abuse them.

We wrote these paragraphs to explain our services. Even if you have similar services, you don't have the right to use our language.

We would prefer that any links to our site be to the home page. All other pages are subject to change without notice.

Web Site Design Services

Your web site is your web site. You own all the content. You are responsible for all the content. We aren't.

We presume that all logos, graphics or photos that you ask us to use are really yours to use. We are not responsible if you use copyrighted material.

We retain all rights to any custom server software written to support your web site. It's not yours, you didn't pay for the development. We are simply using it on your behalf as part of our service.

Web Site Hosting Services

We do our best to make sure your web site is available at all times. We will be frustrated by power outages, phone outages, service failures at the people we contract with, computer failures, malicious attacks by crackers, inadvertant denial of service, and all the other messy things that happen in an imperfect world. We don't promise anything better than doing our best.

You can have your web site pulled without refund for your doing any of several socially unacceptable things. These include mass unsolicited email (spamming), putting copyrighted material on your web site, publishing pornography, interfering with other computers, using your site to conduct unlawful activities, posting hateful or inflammatory messages, or other such things. If it was unintentional, your web site might be restored after such things are removed. These activities by one of our customers can negatively impact all of our customers and even some of our providers, so we will have little tolerance.

Payment Terms

We don't charge up front for design services. We use the one-year contract to make our money over the next twelve months. The entire contract is owed when signed, but the payments are scheduled across the next year.

Non-payment is cause to have your web site unavailable and to have the entire contracted amount become immediately due and payable.

After the first year, the contract can continue on a month-to-month basis. We may have to adjust the rate once in a while, but we will try very hard to avoid this.

We are open to negotiating other terms.
